At every newspaper I've ever worked at, I've always wanted to be in the plant when the paper gets printed. It's loud, noisy, smelly -- and magical. I was there when the first ever editions of The National Post rolled off the presses in Hamilton on Oct 26 , 1998. And I would be in the press rooms for my student paper at Guelph and would do so at my first papers in Orangeville, Orillia, Thunder Bay, etc. This video at the Telegram is a sad moment but, unfortunately, an inevitable one ....
