MLA to seek nomination for Souris-Moose Mountain, MP will not run
Moosomin MLA Steven Bonk will be seeking the nomination to run for the federal Conservative party in Souris-Moose Mountain, after current MP, Dr. Robert Kitchen, said he will not be running. Almost inconceivable that voters in this southeast SK riding would not return another Conservative. Kitchen got 75% of the vote in 2021. A non-conservative candidate last won here in 1993 when the Liberals picked it up because of the post-Mulroney split on the right.
