Trudeau, premiers discuss lifting interprovincial trade barriers
The U.S. is Canada's biggest trading partner, but Trump's tariff threat has Canada looking at how to rely less on its closest neighbour. One way is boosting interprovincial trade, but there are plenty of obstacles in the way. As David Akin reports on Global National, Canada's first ministers are figuring out how to remove the barriers.
Lifting Canada's long list of interprovincial trade barriers could add roughly $200 billion to the country's economy, according to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. Touria Izri explains some of the roadblocks to trade within Canada, and the renewed push to eliminate them.
