Correction!
A sharp-eyed "assiduous" reader caught an error I made in yesterday's newsletter in my comments about the Conservative nomination race in the riding of Kingston and the Islands. I mentioned yesterday that the last win by a non-Liberal there was Flora Macdonald in 1988. Nope! in 1988, while Brian Mulroney was indeed winning his second majority, Flora lost a close one to Liberal Peter Milliken who, of course, would go on to set the record as the longest-serving Speaker of the House of Commons. Flora's last win, then, would have been in 1984. Her first win in that riding was 1972.

The headlines, excerpts, and photos here are generated by the publishers of the clipping. The publisher is at the bottom left of the clipping. If I've got a comment, you''ll see that in italics. But if I've generated the headline and the excerpt, you'll see me taking attribution by finishing with -DA in bold.
