Jansen back for third crack at Cloverdale-Langley City
The BC riding of Cloverdale--Langley City first came into existence at the 2015 general election and its first MP was Liberal John Aldag. in 2017, though, Aldag was beaten in a close race by Conservative Tamara Jansen. Aldag came back, though, in 2019, and took it back in another close race.
Now, Jansen is back again -- and this time, it won't be close: I have the CPC picking this up in a walk if an election were held today by 28 points.
She won't be running again against Aldag, though. Aldag resigned the MP's post earlier this year to run for the BC NDP in the same area but was defeated by the BC Conservative candidate.
As for Jansen, she is definitely among the evangelical Christian Conservative caucus and, like many evangelical Conservatives, she endorsed Leslyn Lewis in the leadership race that elected Poilievre. -DA

Scott Moe’s Saskatchewan Party projected to form majority government
For the last 17 years, the Saskatchewan Party has held a majority government, but the Saskatchewan NDP gained momentum this campaign. Look at Sask Party 'parties' on election night, you'd have thought they lost while people at the NDP 'parties' we had reporters at were much better attended and everyone was in a good mood. And yet, though they have a reduced majority, the Sask Party won a historic fifth majority in a row. No one has done that in this province since Tommy Douglas won five between 1944 and 1960.
